Pay Per Click Tactics - part 1

This post, and other ones that will follow, wil present you briefly some useful traffic tactics.

Today I start with some pay per click tactics.

Here we go:

Have keywords on the display URL

In case you are targeting any keyword, for example say “real estate” then create a display URL of www.thenameofyoursite/real estate.com.

Keep the keywords separated

It is important that you do not club in key words that are dissimilar in nature under one group. If you do so, it will become very difficult for you to find out which key words are the ones that are performing well.

Keep an eye on your position

In case your ranking is among the top three positions, then it is better if you try to bid for the fourth or the fifth position with pay per click.

Try out different advertising styles

You won’t know which style works the best until you have actually tried them. You can test a soft styled writing with a hard selling strategy. You never know which type of writing will impress the customers. You should give each type time to analyze the results and then decide which one suits the best.

P.S.:

These tips and pay per click tactics are part of a BIG package that includes 750 Traffic Tactics.

Review Of SyteBlack, New Site Autobuilder

Today the blog hosts a new review, about a product that is not yet released on the market.

The creator, Adam Carn, is a member of the Warrior Forum just like I am, and he allowed me to review a beta version of his new product, named “Syte Black”.

I also helped a little the final development, and the solution of some minor bugs.

Syte Black is a product targeted to the internet marketers that do not have web creation skills, and look for an easy to use interface that allows them to set up sites created to make money from affiliate sales and AdSense ads.

This was a one sentence explanation to let you understand the new product I reviewed.

In order to create your online business site you just open a desktop application that let you complete the whole set up in a few simple steps.

This is a screenshot of the Syte Black application at work for a test site I created in a few minutes.

(You can click the image to enlarge it)

You see it is very simple to use.
You first have to enter your domain name and the affiliate Id for Clickbank and Amazon, and your Google AdSense publisher code.

Then you have to make a little work to customize the single pages of your new web pages, adding the keywords you like for your single pages, and the URL of a related article taken from the articles site ArticleDashboard.com.

Selecting the articles will take you just a few minutes anyway, and this can be quite important, in fact thanks to that little work every user of Syte Black will create different versions of the site generated by the application.

Looking at the screenshot you can see that the application will create and modify with your own details pages for different topics, they are cars, computers, finance, shopping and travel.

After that there is to complete the last step to have your site online, you need to insert the details to let Syte Black upload all the files to the server that hosts your domain, as you can see in the right side of the screenshot of the application.

That’s definitely not a lot of work to do, and no particular skill is required to complete the setup.

As a result you will have a new site designed to make you money ready. You just need to promote it.

You can see the test site I setup at the following web address:

http://earnwithgoogle.com/syteblack

As you can see the site looks nice, and it includes Clickbank ads, Amazon ads and Google ads targeted to the content of every page, and very important aspect, they are all strategically placed to attract the clicks of the visitors.

At the moment Syteblack is not yet released to the public, but will be very soon (the final testing are going on right now..).
You can anyway find out more about Syteblack at the official web site:

Check The Browser Compatibility Of Your Sites

All of us that create and develop web sites for the internet know that the sites not always are shown the same way by different browsers.

To test the browser compatibility normally we have to open the different browsers, usually at least the two most popular ones, Internet Explorer by Microsoft and Firefox by Mozilla.
That’s the basic work we can do.

However there are many other options available to the internet users, options that we usually do not take in consideration, including different operative systems.

It would really be a hard task to make all these tests to check our sites with different OS and the less popular browsers, but now there is a nice free to use web based option that can help us.

It is available at this URL:

http://browsershots.org

The service that this web site offers for free is very nice, and helpful too.

You just insert the web address you want to test and the site starts a process that loads the site on different PC with different operative systems like Windows XP and 2000 or Linux Ubuntu and Freebsd, and different versions of minor browsers like Seamonkey, Opera, Safari and the new Google Chrome.

After some minutes you get all the screenshots of how the site looks in all the different possible combinations of OS and browsers.

Post published hoping to be of help to someone else :)

How To Find New Good Keywords For Your AdWords Ads…

To be honest the full title of this post should have been:

“How To Find New Good Keywords For Your AdWords Ads For Affiliate Programs”

Probably many of you already know this technique, but if someone doesn’t here it is.
You simply have to load the AdWords External Keywords Tool:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

The tool allows you to select 2 different options:

1. “Descriptive words or phrases”
2. “Website content”

We use the second option, and enter the URL of the main site we are promoting as affiliates.

As an example we can use “fatloss4idiots.com”

(you can click the image to enlarge it)

As you can see in the example the tool returns many keywords results, grouped by terms.
It autamatically tells us that there are not only the groups including the keywords “weight loss”, but also other groups of keywords like “low carb”, “diet plan” and “diet”, “fat burning” and others.

Not only, it shows “Advertiser Competition” and “Approx Search Volume” both for the current and average month.

What I recommend is to scroll down to the end of the page and use the “Download all keywords:” feature, using csv or csv for excel.
That way you can use Excel or OpenOffice to load the keywords list and sort it as you like.

You will find that the green bar of Advertiser Competition is not there, instead there is a value included amongst 0 and 1, with 0 no competition and 1 biggest competition. This can be very useful to determine good keywords with decent traffic and low competition you can target in your AdWords advertising for affiliate programs.

I am using this technique for the campaigns I am running with review pages created using Google Nemesis and it could work also for you.

How to Rank High in Google Quickly For Your Desired Keywords

Like anybody involved in internet marketing and web sites development I also like to rank high in Google search results for the keywords I consider useful after I have done some keywords research.

And like anybody else I know it isn’t that easy to reach this target. Google is the most important search engine of the internet, and the biggest source of traffic existing at the moment. The competition to get good results in the Google search engine is the higher existing too.

So to get these high rankings quickly we need to know, and to do, what Google likes and considers good.

One of the best possible ways is to use the big sites that Google likes a lot and indexes high for all the keywords and add there links to your own web site.

An example is Squidoo, that allows you to create your own pages about the topic you like. Squidoo often ranks high in Google search results for competitive keywords, so you can create your pages on Squidoo, that are called “lenses”, related to your desired keywords, targeting these keywords in the name and URL of the lens, in the text content you add to it, and in the link back to your own web site.

Google also likes a lot the big social networks web sites, like MySpace as example, and having links with your desired keywords to your own web site posted in MySpace can also help a lot your site to get indexed fast by Google and to get higher rankings for your keywords.

Squidoo and MySpace are just two examples of sites that Google loves and that can let you easily add links to your site. It is also important to notice that these sites are very good for anybody that wants to have links from big sites to their new sites because both of them have content about any possible topic, they are very generic sites and have pages about anything you can imagine.

I will show you other good sites, but before I want to give you another good tip that can make the difference.

Having the keywords you are targeting in your domain name can help a lot. If the main domain name composed only by the keywords is not available than you can select a variation of it, perhaps adding another word that gives anyway a meaning to the domain.

Now let’s see some other good sites you can use to rank higher on Google for your desired keywords.

Two possibilities are inside Google itself, or better said inside the Google network. But they could require more work to be successful.

I refer to Blogger and to Youtube, they are both free Google services.

Blogger allows you to create free blogs, and again you can select any topic you like without problem and Google loves blogs. The problem is that a blog must be continually updated to get and keep good rankings in search engines and Google in particular, so this will require more work than a Squidoo lens or a post on a social network.

Youtube also is loved both by Google and internet surfers, but you will need to be able to create a video to use it, than you can add the link inside the video itself to promote your web site to the viewers of the video, and in the description, to be crawled by Google and the other search engines.

The ones above are only some of the big, good sites that can help you a lot to get high rankings quickly for your desired keywords in Google, but there are many others you can find making some researches in Google.

Some Useful Free Keyword Research Tools

In this post I share with the readers of the blog some good and free kayword research tools you can find on the net.

The first is the Wordtracker free tool, based on the popular Wordtracker service, but it returns only the first 100 results for keword, but still very useful:

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

There is also a different version, that as an addition let check the Google trends for each keyword, and it also can be very useful for your niche researches:

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/

These two tools are already very good, but if you want to check an alternative you can like the free tool of Keyword Discovery:

This tool returns different results than the first two.
